Anticipation for Grenada's Drag Wars 2 has reached new heights. Official sponsor Digicel, hosted by the Grenada Motor Club, this event is expected to be a huge success. Racers came out to support the media launch and show their allegiance to motor sports and small-island racing. Cars from Trinidad & Tobago, Antigua, St. Vincent, St. Lucia, and of course Grenada, will be battling it out on the Pearls Airstrip for the fastest times in their brackets, down the 1/4 mile.

The event is scheduled to be held from June 5th - 7th, 2009, Friday - Sunday, with the car show being held on the Friday at Bananas, True Blue. Test & Tune and bracket racing is to start on the Saturday and last until the end of Sunday. A spokesperson for the Grenada Motor Club annouced that bracket racing will go on into the night for the activities scheduled on Saturday. The track will be fully lit to ensure that drivers and spectators are privy to the best visibility possible.

Spice Isle Retreaders, a sponsor, was present at the event showing off a mean Lancer Evolution IV, striping Kumho graphics. The other islands better watch out for this Microtech'ed beast driven by Joshua Lewis of Grenada.
