Motion Blur

Postby Lucian_rider » Sun Jun 20, 2010 12:34 am

I had a go at doing some motion blur to make Daniel's car look like it was really moving rather that the static image that I ended up with. Obviously I should have tried to achieve the same thing by panning and using a slow shutter speed. But that is what Photoshop is for!

I followed this simple tutorial: http://www.emmettlollis.com/tutorials/photoshop/speeding-car-motion-effect.asp

Be easy on me, this is my very first attempt and with practice I am sure it would look even better....

So without further ado, I present: Before and After.

looks pretty good, the only thing that give it away is the slight ghosting infront of the car, by the right indicator. Panning like u said is the easier option shutter speed at about 1/60th of a second focus lock the object and follow it. All in all good job though
